Photoshop Black Adjust

The first thing you need to do to adjust contrast is to set the Black point. To do this:

Use the Eyedropper tool (set to Color Sampler) and pick a point in your picture that's black (no gradient), and Option click that spot. Now look at your Info window and go to IMAGE-ADJUSTMENT-LEVELS Level and you will see the numbers. It should be less than 45. Adjust the Black point by moving the black triangle in the window adjustment with RGB selected. This adjusts the black. Set it for about 30-35 if you can.
